With the rise in less mainstream wood floor manufacturers and suppliers, these are exciting times if you want something with a little more pizzazz than the average oak style laminate floor panel. Many of us opt for wood floors because they look clean and stylish and are also easy to maintain. They’re great for covering any room in the home.

If You Don’t Like Grey, Try Black

A black floor can add a tremendous amount of contrast to a room and that semi burnt look is beginning to catch on in the UK. Whether it’s for real wood floors or composite, you can transform the look of an ordinary room especially when combined with light walls and furniture. If you like the Nordic influence and spend more time in Ikea than B&Q, this may be the right look for you.

Unfinished vs Finished

For home owners who install real wood flooring there is the choice between an unfinished look and a nice, polished finished one. It’s all a matter of preference really but those who like that rustic style, the untreated wood look is gaining popularity once again.
